Annika Strebel is the 63rd German Wine QueenThe new Wine Queen was simply overwhelmed. "I just can't believe it", said Annika Strebel. The 23-year-old student of viticulture
from the village of Wintersheim in Rheinhessen is the 63rd German Wine Queen. She is the first German Wine Queen to hail from

Harvest yield dropped by 23 percent
Light and shade in German wine exportIn the first half of 2011 German wine exporters have largely retained the level of turnover in comparison to the same period
of the previous year. According to the German Wine Institute (DWI) export sales decreased slightly by two percent to a total
of 174 million Euro in the first six months of this year. The export volume fell by 15 percent to 766,000 hectolitres.
