The German Wine Information Center (GWI) provides information about German wines to the trade, hotel and catering industry and consumers. GWI handles requests about German wines by phone and mail. This varies from requests about promotional materials (posters, information brochures) to specific questions about German wine, for example, where a certain German wine is available or where people can sample German wines. Besides this, GWI organizes a numer of annual events, like wine tastings, seminars for hotel schools and press trips.

To optimize the selection of German wine available, GWI organizes diverse promotional activities.
