Josefine Schlumberger is Germany's 67th wine queen

09/26/2015

Josefine Schlumberger (21) from Laufen in the Baden region was elected 67th German wine queen. She will be supported by Katharina Fladung from the wine growing Rheingau-region as well as Caroline Guthier from the region of Hessische Bergstraße, both German wine princesses.

Deafening jubilance of supporter's clubs flared up in Neustadt an der Weinstraße when the results of the 70-head-jury was announced by Monika Reule, CEO of the German Wine Institute.

“This year's German wine crown will go to the wine growing region Baden”, Reule said at the end of the 2-hour live TV-show.

All three will present the German wine more than 300 days on a supraregional and international level.
