New 'Wines of Germany' agencies in Denmark and Sweden
In Denmark, the Winelab agency, headed by Mads Jordansen, is now coordinating the activities of the German Wine Institute (DWI) on site. The renowned wine expert can look back on twenty years of experience in the Danish wine business as an importer, trainer, wine critic and organizer of wine events. He is accordingly well networked in the local wine scene.
New communicative approaches
Winelab will use new communicative approaches to further increase the image and sales of German wines in all distribution channels in the country, including the food trade, and to address new target groups.
Denmark is one of the medium-sized export markets for wines from the German wine regions. By October 2020, 21,000 hectoliters of wine worth eight million euros were exported to Denmark in twelve months.
Expanding influencer-network in Sweden
With an export volume of 61,000 hectoliters and sales of 13 million euros, Sweden ranks sixth in the ranking of German wine export markets. In this important market, the agency Prat PR, which specializes in wine and luxury products, has taken over the management of the DWI representation.
The agency manager Gabriella Finnborg is one of the most experienced PR consultants in the food and gastro sector in Sweden after 20 years. She will continue to expand communication on social media and with influencers. A communicative focus will be on the excellent suitability of German wines as a partner in Nordic cuisine. In addition, numerous wine seminars, tastings and events for different target groups are on the program.
DWI Managing Director Monika Reule is convinced that the new agencies, who are specialists in their fields, will bring a new dynamic to the marketing of German wines in the two Nordic markets.
