Rolling Stone Magazine introduces Germany's Generation Riesling
The discussion was presented by wine lover Christof Ellinghaus who operates the Cordobar in Berlin and manages the record label City Slang. The evening ended with splendid live music from Tom Schilling singing rock’n’roll chansons.
What style of wine goes well with what style of music, can wine create the same moods as music does, and how can such analogies be drawn?
These were some of the questions the four Generation Riesling vintners and members of the young German pop generation raised. Outstanding wines and good live music from Tom Schilling & The Jazz Kids accompanied the major question of where art and the craft of winemaking meet and in how far the young vintners' wines inspire the music of the new pop generation.
Besides the four vintners Lukas Krauß (Weingut Krauß), Andi Weigand (Weingut Weigand), Nico Espenschied (Weingut Espenhof) and Jason Groebe (Weingut Bergkloster), sommelier Toni Askitis (#asktoni) took part in the discussions, too.
