Seven applicants are getting ready for the election of the German Wine Queen
This year, candidates from seven of the 13 winegrowing regions are running for election. The other six reigning regional wine queens are extending their term of office by one year due to the Corona situation.
Styling and media tips
A central component of the three-day workshop is a media and communication training, in which the young wine specialists receive tips for their stage appearances, which the SWR television station broadcasts live to viewers all over Germany. Styling tips and a photo shoot are also on the program. A crash course on "English for Winequeens" refreshes the candidates' specialist English skills on the last day. After all, the answers to the English questions are an important criterion for the evaluation of the jury every year.
On the first day of the workshop, SWR television used the opportunity to provide information about the special broadcasting concept for this year's election. In addition, the reigning German Wine Queen Angelina Vogt gave helpful suggestions and tips for the upcoming election. SWR moderator Holger Wienpahl, who will again accompany the contestants through the election events, was also happy to get to know the candidates personally in advance.
The seven candidates for the 72nd election of the German Wine Queen are:
Eva Lanzerath, Ahr
Jana Petermann, Hessische Bergstrasse
Bärbel Ellwanger, Mosel
Anna-Maria Löffler, Pfalz
Alexandra Unger, Rheingau
Eva Christine Müller, Rheinhessen
Tamara Luisa Elbl, Württemberg
