The rise of Germany Pinot wines as well as Chardonnay & Co. with their very own styles are slumbering talents on the global wine market.
Pinot oder Burgunder?
From June 2nd 2020 onwards, producers, experts and also a sommelier will have their say on the Instagram and Facebook channels of the German Wine Institute, Generation Riesling and the German Wine Ambassadors every day for the next two weeks. They explain the origin, the peculiarities, the potential and the success of the red and white pinot wines that grow in Germany. There are facts and information - among other things, you can find out why these grape varieties are called Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris or Pinot Meunier in neighbouring France but Spätburgunder, Weissburgunder and Grauburgunder in Germany. The newly acquired knowledge can be tested in various quiz questions.
