Wine Events, Winemakers and Industry News in One App

02/29/2016

Wines of Germany (DWI) is proud to introduce its redesigned app for Android and iOS, making the world of German wine events and winemakers now available "to go." The free app has an attractive new look, new technology beneath the hood, and improved navigation and performance.

"Our 'Weinziele' app provides access to over 2,500 events across Germany, making it the largest database of wine events in this country," explains DWI Managing Director Monika Reule. "Our database also encompasses almost 1,800 wine producers."

App users can filter by event type such as wine festival or wine seminar, as well as by growing region and time frame. Wine producers can be filtered by name, town, post code, growing region and cultivated varieties. The new version of 'Weinziele' will also include the latest news from the industry.
"There's an increased demand for information about Germany as a winegrowing country for mobile use — 20 percent higher than a year ago, in fact. The new app helps us meet that demand," emphasizes DWI Communications Director Frank R. Schulz.

The application can be found by searching for "Weinziele" in the iOS AppStore and Google PlayStore for Android.

The same database of wine events and winemakers is also available in conventional form for tablets, laptops and smartphones at www.weinziele.net. That URL links directly to a microsite within the DWI homepage featuring the www.deutscheweine.de/service/veranstaltungskalender  and www.deutscheweine.de/service/winzersuche.

The "Weinziele" app puts 2,500 wine events, 1,800 wine producers and current industry news at your fingertips. It is available via  iOS AppStore as well as Google PlayStore (Android).
