Wines of Germany at Mercedes-Benz in Japan

02/29/2016

The Mercedes-Benz Connection "Next" lounge in Tokyo is now showcasing another German product alongside cars: fine wine. The lounge's sommelier polled Japanese importers of German wines and then selected six wines from their recommendations.

As of February 2016, showroom visitors could sample both German wines and various German and European delicacies.

Guests are polled about their preferences and additional information about their selected favorites is then provided.

Wines of Germany Japan is lending the tasting equipment and outfitting the lounge with attractive glass markers and informational material about German wines. The cooperation is planned for an initial three months in order to better reflect the positive "Made in Germany" image of Mercedes-Benz onto the top-quality wines from Germany.
