If you’re on the lookout for new and even exotic flavours to tickle your taste buds, you can create wonderful cocktails using wine, sparkling wine, spirits and other ingredients. And then there are wines you will like to savour slowly, as a long drink in the true sense of the word. Here are some suggestions:
Hawaii Klassik
- 6 cl Scheurebe late vintage (Spätlese)
- 4 cl pineapple juice
- 4 cl orange juice
- 1 cl peach nectar
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 cl peach liqueur
Put the ingredients and 3 ice cubes in a shaker and shake quickly. Pour in a highball glass and add crushed ice or another 4 ice cubes. Decorate with a slice of lime and a piece of pineapple or one quarter of a peach.
Kir Imperial
- 2 cl raspberry liqueur
- Chasselas (Gutedel) or Pinot Blanc
Pour the liqueur in a 0.2 l wine glass and top up with the chilled wine.
Midnight Magic (Mitternachtszauber)
- 6 cl noble-sweet Riesling
- 2 cl brandy (preferably a winegrower’ s Riesling brandy )
- 2 cl pineapple juice
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- Rieslingsekt brut
Put the Riesling, brandy, pineapple and lemon juice in the shaker with 3 ice cubes and shake quickly. Pour into a highball glass and top up with sparkling wine. Decorate with a slice of pineapple.
Kir (Aperitif)
- 2 cl Crême de Cassis
- Pinot Gris or Pinot Blanc
Pour the cassis in a 0.2 l wine glass and top up with the chilled wine.
