The Riesling Fellowship was proud to be joined last night by top German Riesling producers and members of the Asian trade for a gala dinner at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong. Wines of Germany USA launched its new image campaign, "Taste the New," in Los Angeles with Matthew Kaner of Bar Covell and Augustine Wine Bar, Food & Wine magazine’s Sommelier of the Year (2013).

Internet wine sales topped £800 million in 2015, which represents ten to eleven percent of the overall British wine market. Those figures were announced by the German Wine Institute (DWI), drawing on a survey conducted by Wine Intelligence, a market research institute.

Dry wines are enjoying increasing popularity in Germany. Forty-six percent of all German quality and "Prädikat" wines bottled in 2015 were classified as “trocken” (dry). Such was the announcement of the German Wine Insitute based on figures from the official wine classification agencies.
