According to latest figures of Japanese customs, Wines of Germany is the best European performer for still wine imports.

In coordination with all circles in the German wine industry, the German Wine Institute (DWI) has planned a dense program of measures in the new year. It aims to further increase the positive image of our wines among wine consumers at home and abroad.

Germany is amoung the top 10 wine countries on Wine-Searcher.com. Looking into the world's biggest wine database there is precious little difference in the rankings, but plenty of difference in how different countries – and their regions – are trending.

Fantastic news from the United Kingdom's wine scene: The renowned daily British newspaper THE TIMES reports about "soaring sales in upmarket establishments" for Wines of Germany.

Norwegian Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven is a well-known black metal musician and has been part of the worldwide music scene for many years with his band "Satyricon". In his spare time, the musician devotes himself to his hobby: wine.

The eleventh "Forum Generation Riesling" (GR) took place on the 14th of November in the "Viniversum" in the wine growing region of 'Hessische Bergstraße' near Frankfurt. Seventy young leaders from the wine industry met in Heppenheim to exchange marketing ideas, learn from reknowned speakers and gain expertise.
