Google ranking: Germany's Top10 winegrowing communities

05/09/2022

The travel voucher portal "tripz.de" recently published Germany's wine-growing communities that are very popular for vacationing. The study and search queries were carried out with the assistance of The German Wine Institute.

Search volume for "hotel" and "wine" evaluated

For this purpose, more than 1,560 German wine-growing communities with up to 20,000 inhabitants in combination with the keywords "hotel" and "wine" were compared according to their monthly Google search volume (i.e. the average Google search query per month) and a popularity ranking was created. Half of the ten top-ranked wine-growing communities are in Rhineland-Palatinate:

1. Spay, wine region Mittelrhein, Rheinland-Pfalz

2. Cochem, wine region Mosel, Rheinland-Pfalz

3. Rothenburg ob der Tauber, wine region Franken, Bayern

4. Meersburg, wine region Baden, Baden-Württemberg

5. Wolf (Traben-Trarbach), wine region Mosel, Rheinland-Pfalz

6. Feldberg (Müllheim), wine region Baden, Baden-Württemberg

8. Deidesheim, wine region Pfalz, Rheinland-Pfalz
