One Million Video Views for Wines of Germany
When the DWI launched its video channel 14 years ago, videos from the 13 German wine-growing regions about life and work in viticulture were still underrepresented on the world's largest video platform. Today, many wine producers and traders, sommeliers, universities and bloggers are producing their own moving pictures.
42,695 hours "on air" so far
At the end of January, the DWI recorded a total of 42,695 hours "on air" on its YouTube channel, which corresponds to 1,779 days of moving picture communication worldwide. Therefore, the "deutscheweine" channel is one of the most extensive one in the World Wide Web when it comes to German wines.
During the pandemic, in addition to the DWI videos, new web formats and online tutorials experienced a real rush. Many of them will establish new ways of bounderless wine communication.
