Queen Elizabeth II enjoys Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

During her state visit to Germany, HM Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh dined at Bellevue Castle in Berlin. They enjoyed a 4-course-menu with Wines of Germany. Find the menu and wine card below:


According to well informed circles in Berlin, Queen Elisabeth II likes fruity but dry German wines:

  • 2014er Saulheimer, Chardonnay Réserve, dry, Winery Thörle, Saulheim / Rheinhessen (region)
  • 2012er Rummel, Spätburgunder i.e. Pinot Noir, dry, Winery Rummel, Landau-Nussdorf / Pfalz (region)
