The presentations help to further strengthen the positioning of German wines in foreign markets. Many growers and importers participate each year. In addition to the Riesling, which has already been established successfully, other regional grape varieties as well as "Winzersekt" (sparkling wine) are in the focus of the events. Here are some selected highlights of the past season.

Moscow - Riesling & Co. april 4th 2019 in the German Embassy

A wine salon with 17 wine growers from eight individual growing areas that offered an exciting presentation with different varieties, tasting sensations and aromas under the motto "#RieslingDayCoolPlay". Romana Echensperger (MW) introduced the guests to Riesling: "One Grape - Thousand Possibilities" was the title of the seminar. More than 170 professionals from the gastronomy and trade attended.

32 exhibitors presented themselves to the professional audience of sommeliers, journalists, wine importers and restaurateurs as well as business people of member companies of the AHK (foreign trade chamber). The wine journalist and Riesling Fellow Tomasz Prange-Barczyński held two master classes entitled "Signature Wines of German Wine Growing Regions", which were fully booked together with 100 participants. The 70th German Wine Queen Carolin Klöckner presented the German wines in another tasting and taught basic knowledge in the "ABC of German Wine".

Riesling & Co. in China - Also, Premiere in Taiwan

In July 2019, around 300 trade visitors came to Chengdu to taste the wines of 24 importers and wine producers. The German wine princess Inga Storck was there as a contact person for the media representatives. The Chinese master sommelier Yang Lu gave a lecture in front of 150 guests about "Riesling and Pinot Noir: Superstars of German Wine".

The presentation of 26 exhibitors (importers and producers) in Shenzhen was similarly attended by 400 experts. Here, too, the German wine princess Inga Storck accompanied the VIP guests through the hall and gave numerous interviews.

Eight German wine producers and ten importers of German wines presented themselves on July 8, 2019 for the first time in 20 years in Taipei. In cooperation with AOW (Art of Wine) Taiwan and the AHK in Taipei, the DWI gave 150 registered trade visitors from the press, trade and gastronomy the opportunity to taste different wines in the "Riesling & Co." Riesling & Co in The Netherlands and Belgium

The 15th table presentation "Riesling & Co" on 2 September 2019 let the German wines in the arena of Ajax Amsterdam shine in the best weather. More than 450 trade visitors listened to the seminars and enjoyed excellent wines. Further information in the message

In Brussels, "Magister Vini" and Riesling Fellow Lars Daniëls gave "Riesling, Pinot & Co" two masterclasses. One was aimed at trade visitors, and the other Masterclass were attended by 45 hotel school students. A total of 27 producers and two importers were represented as exhibitors, over 200 trade visitors were counted.

Generation Riesling in Japan

One of the largest-ever Riesling presentations in Asia took place in Japan on May 23, 2019: 13 German GR winemakers from five growing regions presented their wines to visitors on a chic wooden ship in the port of Tokyo - and successfully established contacts with importers and sommeliers. More than 150 importers, sommeliers and media representatives were enthusiastic about the quality of the wines and the modern equipment of the young winemakers. Due to the many registrations, the visitors tasted the selected wines in two shifts, before all gathered for the evening generation Riesling party on the deck of the ship.
