Grading System: The wines were scored by 12 judges (100 point system) representing 7 countries in three tables. The wines receiving most divergent scores where retasted by the chairs of the commissions.
All the jurors retasted also all the gold medal wines to find the winners
(on the basis of the rule that best score wins).
The award grades are as follows:
Grand Gold Medal (93 points and more)
Gold Medal (89-92 points)
Silver Medal (86-88 points)
Notes to the editors:
The contest is aimed specifically at producers of rosé wines. This exclusivity will allow the jury to concentrate on the unique qualities of the wines, which may have been overlooked at those wine competitions that do not specialize in this category. It will also allow us to group the wines carefully with regard to their dryness, grape varieties, vintage, barrel ageing/fermenting or deliberate decisions of winemakers (e.g. bottling without filtration)
