The Riesling Fellowship celebrates new members
The dinner, hosted by The German Wine Institute and Wines of Germany in the presence of the Minister of the German Embassy Ms von Uslar-Gleichen was preceded by a tasting on 'Tradition and Innovation' showcasing wines from some of Germany’s most exciting young winemakers as well as demonstrating the range of styles from well-established producers.
Following the tasting was a seminar on 'My Life with Riesling' which featured Jancis Robinson OBE MW, Stuart Pigott, David Motion and Hew Johnson OBE. People had the opportunity to hear the presenters talk about their life with Riesling and present their favourite ever German Riesling.
Monika Reule, CEO of the German Wine Institute said, "The Riesling Fellowship was developed in order to honour and thank those members of the trade who have over the years dedicated so much energy and passion to inspiring the nation on German Riesling. Last year we appointed six fellows and we are delighted to add a further three members to the fold this year, a huge congratulations to the fellows of 2014."
