Mondial des Pinots: Eleven German Pinots awarded Gold

At the 23rd "Mondial des Pinots" wine competition in Sierre (Switzerland), eleven German Pinots, including seven Pinot Noirs, were awarded a gold medal. Another 19 German Pinots won a silver medal. Over three days, 58 jurors evaluated 1132 wines from 21 countries for the competition which had been postponed from May to September.

Decanter World Wine Awards: 151 awards for Germany

For 28 days in August 2020, more than 100 wine experts tasted and rated over 16,500 wines from all over the world, awarding more than 150 medals and recommendations for German wines. Platinum, the highest award of the 17th Decanter World Wine Awards, went to eight German wines, all of which achieved 97 (out of 100 possible) points.
