Die DWI Riesling Lounges

The aim of the Riesling Lounges is to introduce people living outside of the winegrowing regions, to the diversity of wines produced in German cellars. They are joint projects between a local restaurateur and the German Wine Institute, promoting not just Riesling, but a large selection of wines from the 13 different winegrowing regions.


Riesling Lounge Dresden

On the initiative of the German Wine Institute (DWI), the eighth nationwide Riesling Lounge, the first in Sachsen, was opened on December 18, 2015 in the "Weinzentrale" in Dresden. read more

Riesling Lounge Gießen

In 2015, the first Riesling Lounge in Gießen was opened in the Tandreas Hotel, Restaurant and Wine Lounge. Managing director and sommelier Tanja Gerlach has always placed great value on a high-quality wine selection in which German wines play the leading role. read more

Riesling Lounge Rostock

With a Riesling Lounge in the “CarLo 615” restaurant, Rostock now has an attractive meeting point for wine lovers in the heart of Rostock's city harbor. Opened in 2014, the restaurant offers over 80 local wines and sparkling wines in its special lounge menu. read more


Riesling Lounge Hamburg

On October 17, 2013, a Riesling Lounge was opened in the Freudenhaus restaurant in Hamburg on the initiative of the German Wine Institute (DWI). It has won many wine lovers over with a wide range of local wines on the menu. read more

Riesling Lounge Hannover

Lower Saxony's first Riesling Lounge was opened in January 2013 at the Mercure Hotel Hannover City. Vintner evenings have been held there regularly since autumn 2013. read more

Riesling Lounge München

The “Vintage Selection” wine bar in the hip Munich Glockenbach district has been officially a Riesling Lounge since September 21, 2017. In his wine bar, owner Marian Kreuzer relies one hundred percent on wines from the local growing regions. read more

 


Riesling Lounge Frankfurt

The Riesling Lounge Frankfurt has been in the Zarges Restaurant in Frankfurt's famous Fressgass' since October 2012. The lounge has over 400 handpicked wines from the German wine-growing regions ready for guests.  read more

Riesling Lounge Mainz

The Hofgut Laubenheimer Höhe is located in the middle of beautiful vineyards, high above the roofs of Mainz and Rheinhessen. The Riesling Lounge is part of the Hofgut's gastronomy concept.  read more
