In addition to the German flagship grape varieties the range the range of German wines presented also included wine varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, white Pinot varieties and regional specialties such as Lemberger, Silvaner and Scheurebe.

New high of participating German estates

With 18 German wine producers from the wine regions of Baden, Franconia, Moselle, Nahe, Palatinate, Rheingau and Rheinhessen at the BMEL joint booth, the number of participating wineries reached a new high for the first time. They present a wide range of selected German red, white, rosé and sparkling wines, which are available for tasting at the DWI tasting counter on all days of the fair.

Classic and regional wines from other producers complemented the selection. The German wine princess Juliane Schäfer, among others, was available for questions from the specialist audiences. On Tuesday, sommelier world champion Marc Almert held a seminar and moderated individual tastings.

Daily trade visitor seminars on topics such as "Germany's dream team: Riesling & Pinot Noir" or "The license to sparkle - German premium sparkling wine" rounded off this year's presentation at the DWI Vinexpo.
